Plussize Fashion Week Africa - 2018

African culture is one that has historically celebrated the healthy looking plus-sized woman. She is the everyday woman, in the office, the shop, the marketplace, and on the streets. The cross-cultural exchange between these two locales has led to a significant rise of "size zero" models on the African runway. This fact tends to question the integrity of conventional African Fashion runways, with ‘zero’ sized models walking for audiences, 85% of whom are plus sized! This has created a noticeable divide between the audience and the fashion show.
